Visit the Ferndale water treatment plant, Morgan Slough Rd., ephemeral wetlands, and more. Wetland birds and raptors will be the focus, but there is also riparian and grassland habitats to be explored. Bring a spotting scope if you have one. You may also want to bring water and a lunch.This event will meet at the Arcata Community Center, out front of the building. Festival headquarters will not be set up there quite yet so just look for others with binoculars and spotting scopes.
