This event will meet at the Arcata Community Center, outside the front doors. Festival headquarters will not be set up there quite yet so just look for others with binoculars.

Look for ducks, loons, grebes and shorebirds at King Salmon and Fields Landing and then head to the South Spit to look from that perspective and to also look for rocky shorebirds and potential seabirds. Almost thirty species of waterfowl have been seen from these locations in April! There will likely be opportunities to use a spotting scope if you have one. Restrooms are available at a few locations along the way, including the Humboldt Bay National Wildlife Refuge visitor center. Bring a reusable water bottle and a lunch.
