Due to the first condor trip selling out so quickly Godwit Days decided to offer a second trip to go look for condors! Join Rob and Yurok Tribe condor biologist, Chris West, to go search for Prey-go-neesh (Yurok name for condors)! We’ll drive straight to Dolason Prairie to start our search, have lunch, and enjoy the spring views from this gorgeous overlook. From there, we’ll head up to the Lyons Ranch/Schoolhouse Peak area of Bald Hills to look for some of the specialties up there such as Golden Eagle, Acorn Woodpecker, and White-breasted Nuthatch. We will walk up to Schoolhouse Peak to scope the area and further look for condors if we don’t encounter them earlier. This trip is shorter than the Saturday event and does not include transportation. This event includes a bag lunch, please let us know if you have dietary restrictions by sending an e-mail to godwitdaysreg@yahoo.com with details.
