Visit the Ferndale water treatment plant, Morgan Slough Rd., Ferndale Bottomland pastures for waterbirds, raptors and shorebirds. In Ferndale, we will visit Hadley Gardens (opened in 2022), known for its native plants, where we will look for passerines, Firemans Park, Ferndale cemetery and more. Boots are recommended, dress in layers, and bring a spotting scope if you have one. Expect mostly flat terrain and several stops with a carpool. You may also want to bring a reusable water bottle and lunch.
