SU61 Birding by Ear – Beyond the Basics: Workshop & Field Trip – CLASSIC | 2024 | $25

This workshop is designed for birders who already know common bird vocalizations and wish to expand their knowledge. The focus of this particular session will be decided on by the participants. A particular group of birds will be the focus for learning songs, chips, and flight calls. The session will begin in a classroom, then segue to a field trip that will work on both identifying unfamiliar birds to group and differentiating group members. Bring snacks and water. Restrooms are available. Some opportunities to use a spotting scope, if you have one. [NOTE: A Birding-by-Ear session for beginners will be held on Saturday as event #SA32.]
