The Western Hemisphere Shorebird Reserve Network is this years’ Spotlight Organization. Humboldt Bay is celebrating its 20th year as a Western Hemisphere Shorebird Reserve Network (WHSRN) Site of International Importance and the recent upgrade to a Hemispheric site. Join Humboldt State University shorebird ecologist, Dr. Mark Colwell for this memorable trip to witness the massive flocks of shorebirds that use the shores and mudflats of Humboldt Bay as part of their Pacific Flyway migration route.
