Look for ducks, loons, grebes, and shorebirds at King Salmon and Fields Landing. Then head to the Humboldt Bay NWR to check for the numerous species that spend their time there, including many passerines that can be found in the riparian habitat at the visitor center and along the shorebird loop trail. Waterfowl species that are more freshwater-oriented, along with many migrant shorebirds, should also be present. Easy walking short distances, including a bit in sand at King Salmon. Restrooms available at Humboldt Bay NWR
