Always a popular trip and with the variety of habitats visited. Participants can expect 80-100 species for the day list! Keith will take you some of the top hotspots for the county that may include the Blue Lake cottonwoods along the Mad River, hotspots in Trinidad like Elk Head to Trinidad Bay, and the Arcata Marsh, North Jetty, Humboldt Bay National Wildlife Refuge, Elk River mouth in Eureka, etc. It’s really anybody’s guess (except for Keith’s, that is) on what locations you will visit on this trip but rest assured they will be some of the top hotspots in Humboldt County. Keith will help you learn how he goes about birding these locations and finds the most birds in each. Bring a lunch.
