The Western Snowy Plover is a threatened shorebird breeding on Humboldt County beaches. For the past several years, the population has been monitored by HSU researchers while local consultants and land managers continue with recovery efforts. Bring a spotting scope if you have one and be prepared to walk up to 1 mile over soft sand.
