This event takes place in the main hall of the Arcata Community Center. Browse vendor booths by commercial businesses, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies, plus a professional art show by Arcata Artisans. View the hundreds of bird art contest entries created by Humboldt County K-12 students that will line the walls of the lobby and hallways. Light hors d’oeuvres – many donated by local food suppliers – will be provided, plus there will be a cash bar with wine and beer and free non-alcoholic punch. [Participants registered under the “Basic” category who are age 21 or above will receive one free drink ticket, good for Friday only.] Wildberries Marketplace is a major donor for this event. This free event is open to members of the general public, whether they are Godwit Days registrants or not, so there is no need to reserve a spot. Godwit Days thanks Redwood Region Audubon Society and Friends of the Arcata Marsh for organizing this year’s reception.
