Meet at the parking lot on the right at the end of Hilfiker Rd., off Broadway (hwy 101) in Eureka. Led by Nora Papian and Max Brodie, this trip will begin by checking the mouth of Elk River for shorebirds, gulls, terns, and other water birds. The trip will then move on to Fields Landing for sea ducks, various water birds with potential for Harlequin Duck, Elegant Tern, and White-winged Scoter. King Salmon will be the final destination for more water birds such as Red-necked Grebe and Parasitic Jaeger. The trip will end with an optional lunch at Gill’s By the Bay. Maximum 10 participants.
