The emphasis is on introducing participants to some of the county’s premier birding sites and enjoying birding at a relaxed pace. Terrain is mostly flat but not good for access-limited persons. We will sample the birds at a half-dozen of the best birding spots in Humboldt County. The trip usually tallies near 100 species. This is definitely a classic Godwit Days trip that sells out every year! Bring layers of clothing, sunscreen, and a hat. Restrooms available. Opportunities to use a spotting scope.
