SA14 Herpetology Trip to Mill Creek, Del Norte County | 2022 | $40

Meet Tony at the Vista Point pullout near the Hamilton Road entrance to the Mill Creek Acquisition portion of Del Norte Coast Redwoods Park. Last year (2021) Tony did a virtual herpetology trip of Del Norte County that was received with much fandom, so this year he agreed to show some of the herps of Del Norte County found at the Mill Creek acquisition. Species of interest that the trip will search for include Painted Ensatina, California Slender, Del Norte (endemic to Del Norte County!), Northwestern Salamander, and others. This is also a great location for American Dipper and Ruffed Grouse has been seen in the area, too, though the latter has become more difficult in recent years. Bring lunch.
