This event meets at the Arcata Community Center in the lobby.

The town of Orick is situated along the lower stretches of Redwood Creek. An accessible levee trail works it way west and this trip will start by walking this level trail looking for riparian and open pasture-type birds. Afterwards we will bird the mouth of Redwood Creek and will then will head up Bald HIlls Road to Tall Trees to look for Ruffed Grouse. There are restrooms available along the way. Bring a reusable water bottle and a lunch.
