COVID-19 Safety Precautions as of (January 26, 2022):

Your well-being, as well as that of our volunteers and trip leaders, remains our top priority. With precautions in mind, we will say goodbye to large-group gatherings (e.g., opening reception, vendor booths) for 2022, in order to provide you with an enjoyable experience in a safe manner.

COVID policies are subject to change. We will be monitoring mandates and recommended guidelines from the federal Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the State of California, and Humboldt County and require at least those levels of protection. Any revisions to Godwit Days COVID protocols will be promptly e-mailed to registrants and posted on our website.

Godwit Days participants assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19 and its variants. Field trips will have smaller attendee capacities and may be self-drive only. Our 2022 safety protocols may include properly wearing face masks and maintaining social distancing, even when outdoors. As we all are aware, the pandemic situation is fluid and we need to be amenable to adapting over time.

We are requiring all registrants to provide proof of full COVID vaccination at least two weeks prior to the start of the festival. Vaccines must be approved or have an emergency use authorization from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), or, for persons fully vaccinated outside the United States, be listed for emergency use by the World Health Organization (WHO). Copies of proof need to be e-mailed to [email protected] Once this information is noted, we will promptly delete your email. If the definition of “fully vaccinated” changes between your registration date and the start of the festival, we will contact you for updated information.

When you register and select an “in-person” field trip, you will be required to check a box indicating that you agree to follow our safety protocols (and waiver of liability). If you have any questions about this, please contact us before registering. The consent of all registrants to follow our safety protocols at the time of Godwit Days can give us all confidence that we are minimizing safety risks during this COVID-19 era.

We appreciate your understanding and hope you will join us in April.

By checking the box designated “Godwit Days COVID Safety Precautions Agreement” on the registration page for each of your events, you are agreeing to follow all COVID protocols that Godwit Days has put in place when the festival begins.
If you are a minor (under age 18), your parent or legal guardian must check the box in agreement on your behalf.
